Sandra Calzado discovered oil painting at the age of 10, when he first encountered colours and the infinite possibilities of mixing them at school. Since then, he has enjoyed exploring tonalities, textures and materials, in a long trajectory of artistic research and experimentation.
His work breathes Mediterranean inspiration:
"I am inspired by the sea, the sunsets, the pinks, oranges and blues of the Mediterranean sky; the skyline of my city, Barcelona, in my walks along the paths that run along the top of Park Güell. I am fascinated by the changes in the perspective of the urban panorama and, in the background, the sea... always different, always in movement, marking the seasons and reminding us that we are nature in constant transformation, that we are water".
