{"id":2005,"date":"2025-12-31T10:52:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T09:52:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rusticcorner.com\/?p=2005"},"modified":"2026-03-16T17:22:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T16:22:42","slug":"the-new-law-on-urgent-measures-in-housing-and-urban-planning-in-catalonia-comes-into-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rusticcorner.com\/en\/entra-en-vigor-la-nueva-ley-de-medidas-urgentes-en-vivienda-y-urbanismo-en-catalunya\/","title":{"rendered":"The new Law on Urgent Measures in Housing and Urban Planning in Catalonia comes into force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"605\">The <strong data-start=\"274\" data-end=\"348\">Law on the adoption of urgent measures in the field of housing and urban planning<\/strong>, approved by the Parliament of Catalonia on <strong data-start=\"392\" data-end=\"411\">18th December<\/strong>, has been published in the <strong data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"445\">Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia<\/strong>\u00a0 dated 31 December 2025 and <strong data-start=\"448\" data-end=\"480\">comes into force on 1 January 2026<\/strong>. The legislation introduces significant changes to rental regulations and the legal framework for housing in Catalonia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"922\">Among the main new features, the following stand out: <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"700\">new regulation of seasonal contracts<\/strong>, which distinguishes between tourist or holiday use and contracts linked to professional, work, study or medical reasons, applying to the latter a regime very similar to that of renting a primary residence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"1255\">The law regulates for the first time the <strong data-start=\"958\" data-end=\"985\">room contracts<\/strong>, establishing habitability requirements and price limits in areas with a tight residential market.
